Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information JobDraft collects, why, who it's shared with, and your rights. It covers our website, jobdraft.co.uk, and the JobDraft app.

Who we are

JobDraft is run by Chris Goulden, trading as JobDraft, in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy, except where we explain otherwise below. If you have any questions, or want to use any of your rights, email support@jobdraft.co.uk.

The short version

The early access list

If you join our early access list, we collect your email address and, if you give them, your name, trade and town or area. We use them to contact you about JobDraft early access and its launch. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. We keep your details until JobDraft launches, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever is sooner.

Using the JobDraft app

Your account

To sign in, we collect your email address and send you one-time sign-in codes. We also keep a count of how many AI requests your account makes each day, so we can apply fair-use limits. We use this information to provide the app to you (the contract between us).

Quotes, customers, price list and settings

Your quotes, customer details, price list, business details, logo and voice notes are stored on your phone. We don't receive or store them on our servers, except for the information sent to build a quote, described next.

Building a quote

When you build a quote, the app sends the following to our servers, which pass them to the AI services listed below:

This information is used only to build the quote you asked for. Our AI providers process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they can do with it. We don't keep it on our servers after the quote has been built.

Your customers' details

When you put your customers' details into JobDraft, you are responsible for them as the data controller, and we process them on your behalf only to build your quotes. You should let your customers know how you use their information, for example in your own privacy notice or terms.

We use the following service providers to run JobDraft. They only process information on our instructions, under contracts that protect it.

Transfers outside the UK

Some providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge, so your information gets the same level of protection.

How long we keep information

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

In the app, you can export everything stored on your phone (Settings → Export my data) and delete your account and data yourself. For anything else, email support@jobdraft.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies

Our website doesn't use cookies or tracking. The app stores your sign-in on your phone so you don't have to sign in every time.

Children

JobDraft is for tradespeople running a business and isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
